Storing Artichokes
Artichokes should keep for 4 to 5 days if you store them unwashed, in a plastic bag, in the refrigerator. If the stems are still attached, you can stand the artichokes upright in a bowl of water as you would cut-flowers, then refrigerate.
Storing Asparagus
Asparagus stalks should stay fresh for 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator if you keep them moist. Stand upright in a glass with an inch of water, or wrap the stem ends in a damp paper towel before placing in the refrigerator. Keep the tips dry to prevent the asparagus from rotting.
