Storing Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Boysenberries, and Raspberries
These berries should keep in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days. Remove any damaged berries to prevent the spread of mold and store unwashed, on a plate or baking sheet lined with paper towels to absorb moisture. Cover with plastic film. Rinse just before use.
Storing Cranberries
If theyýre tightly wrapped, cranberries should keep for up to 8 weeks in the refrigerator, which is one of the reasons they're so popular year-round.
Freezing Berries
Rinse and de-stem fresh berries, place in a single layer on a plate or cookie sheet and pop in the freezer. When the berries are frozen, put them in an airtight plastic container and keep frozen until use - up to a year for strawberries and cranberries and 6 months for all other berries.
Bear in mind that although berries freeze well, their texture will change and we recommend using them for smoothies, pies and sauce (or coulis). All of the berries can be cooked without thawing.
